K.I.S.S. Principle!
There is this a pretty cool principle called K.I.S.S. which mean ‘Keep It Simple, Stupid’ and defend that you must keep things as simple as you can avoiding complexity. This is a principle used in many fields such as design, software development, engineering, writing and so on.
I believe that this is also very nice to follow at presentations, interviews, schools tests answers and even at chats… That is no point for you to try to ‘fancy things up’ if you can keep it simple.
At work for example, if you can show your ideas preparing a 5 slides presentation do it. Don’t use 10 or 11 slides to impress your colleagues because they won’t be impressed, believe me. Changing the example to a simple conversation, don’t talk about things you are not sure about, and even when you are sure, keep it simple and don’t try to talk more than you know because you will get lost.
Much more important than understanding were you can use this in your reality is to understand the concept of this idea! ;)
